Personal shopper: the experience

Hey everyone! My father had told me for a while now that he had a huge surprise for me. Yesterday, D-Day was finally there: after weeks I would find out about it! Now this surprise, I would have never guessed. My dad took me to Leuven, and what waited me there was every girl's dream. It was my very own personal shopper for one day. I can tell you it was a special, but awesome experience which I won't forget that quickly!

So first, while we met, Ann, who is a color and style consultant, analysed the colors of my body (such as hair, eyes and skin color) to define my color type. She even looked behind my ear, which I first thought was really weird haha. She explaned by the fact that behind your ear, the sun barely ever reaches your body surface, so it's where you have to look when wanting to define your real skin color. Apparently I am a spring type, so she explaned light colors look well on me. The first conversation was fun and I liked her immediately because she seemed so spontaneous. Time for a body type analysation! According to my measurements, I am an X-type with curves. Luckily for me, because this type can wear almost anything, said Ann. So, the practical stuff were settled, now shopping was the only thing on our agenda left! We crossed aaaaall over town, and I discovered some really nice shops and streets of whom I didn't even know they exist. Especially I loved the shops where they sold the collections of Ann De Meulemeester and Dries Van Noten, both belgian designers. I'm already thinking of saving some money to buy some really nice sunglasses of Dries Van Noten! At all events, at noon, I had bought two beautiful pieces of Gaudi ( a yellow dress and a golden top), which you can spot below. I can recommend a personal shopper to everyone, it's nice to have some advise of a pro while shopping. It's important I think that you can get along with him/her for an optimal experience. But that won't be a problem, since personal shoppers do this job a lot and actually enjoy it! Enjoy the pictures!

Blue shades at the market

Hey babies, today I went to the market at noon. My Mom goes there every Thursday to buy fresh fish and vegetables, since we think it is waaaaay better than food at the supermarket. Whenever I'm in town, like this week, I love to go with her and enjoy the atmosphere of the little town I was raised in. Because it's a sunny day, I had the occasion to take my tinted shades with me. Afterwards we had a lovely carpaccio at a cute little terrace with some wine. Now unfortunately, I'm back home ready to study some physics. But not before I share with you guys today's outfit! I hope you like it.

I also got some great news for you. You may have seen I changed my blog's name, since I thought it was quiet time for a transformation! The new (awesome) website, as well as my own label will be online within a week or two. We're working on it! I'm sooo excited. You can already like the new page HERE. A new cooperation went my way too, and it promises really cool things to post about.. Such as an article about Leuven's absolute hotspots, and even some reviews about fashion events. I'm happy to know we got quiet a lot of readers, and I hope in the future this number will only increase..

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful Thursday; get a tan, drink some cocktails, put on your favorite summer dress (today it is permitted) .. At least don't overwork. Cause life's a beautiful thing, and there's so much to smile about!

XOXO
Ornella

Hairstyles: quick and simple

When it comes to picking the perfect outfit, it's also all about the hair, isn't it ? That's why I thought it would be nice to share with you some quick and easy ways to get your hair done perfectly (although I have to admit the last picture is a tricky one), especially for when you are quite in a hurry. I picked some examples from hairstylists Toni&Guy which I liked the most. The label found its inspiration for in the hectical moment just before models walk down the runway, and their hair has to been done à la minute. So I'd say, try some at home, and start walking down your own runway ;).

I'll be back soon,
XOXO

Dinner @ Leuven

Hey girls! Yesterday I went for dinner with my friend Ysys in a cute little restaurant here, called 'De Werf'. It's very popular among the students, so you almost have to fight for a spot on the outside terrace. So without any violence we got a table for two and had a delicious dinner. We ran into a friend of ours and had a good time. Afterwards, I went for a drink. This amazing weather makes me so happy, I hope it will stay this way! Short skirts, and high heels. What else do us girls need on days like these?
Have a nice Wednesday!
XOXO

Candy Colors

Good evening peeps! As you may have seen some pictures yet, I have been quiet busy this week. Apart from all the studying, I went on the streets with my friend from Streetshots and shot some awesome pics! The guy you see is my friend Andreas, he studies medecine, what I would really like to do also next year! I hope I'm gonna make it, and so far we still believe! So why a candy colored theme? Well, sun was shining bright this week in Belgium, especially today (20° !). Spring is definitely coming to town. I even read in the newspaper it was hotter today in Belgium than in Turkey! So I thought it would be the perfect time for a happy mood , with girls dressed in happy colors. Pink, baby blue, mint green, and maybe a little silver touch: it's everywhere! After shooting time, we went to the central library to study a bit, and had a lovely sushi and pizza dinner afterwards with a lot of friends. I hope you enjoyed this sunny sunday as much as I did ! Tonight I'm heading back to Leuven for this week's courses (and partying, ofcourse). Enjoy the pics,

Ornella
